Equine Body Balance™ workshops and courses are designed for horse owners and professionals, bodyworkers and equine enthusiasts who would like to learn how to do effective bodywork on their horse(s). Equine Body Balance™ is Ortho-Bionomy® for equines. The courses will include building blocks of equine health and energetic relationship with the horse. The work relies on the horse’s innate ability to self-correct and can have profoundly sustainable results. Emphasis in class will be on developing feel and positioning in contact. Most courses do not require a pre-requisite. Specific courses earn Ortho-Bionomy or NCBTMB credit.

Horses at Liberty Foundation Training – Liberty Foundations™ are six foundations based on horses’ cooperative natural herd behavior, using no tack. Working with energetic principles, we come into relationship with the horse by first learning to relate in his or her language, through body positioning, touch and rhythms. As horsemanship methods have evolved, the horse’s true voice has not always been heard. In true liberty, horses are engaged without tack. With this work, differences in horses’ behavior can be profound, leading to deeper connection in other work done on the ground and under saddle, what I refer to as the “Open Bond – OnLine – OnBoard™” connection.

All Ortho-Bionomy®, Equine Body Balance™ and Horses at Liberty Foundation Training™ events are provided with various payment opportunities.

Ortho-Bionomy® classes are conducted in schools and private homes, in a supportive learning environment. Equine Body Balance™ courses are held at ranches and barns, where ranch horses can be worked with. In most cases, owners may trailer their horses in. Sometimes a trailer-in fee is charged, which is paid to the barn. Liberty Foundations classes also usually employ horses at the home barn as well as outside horses. No auditors are accepted for any classes.Students are issued a completion certificate with successful completion of 16 CE courses. Onsite classes are designed to foster cohesive groups.

Since the pandemic, many courses are being offered online. This format has proven effective for learning and being able to take the education back to the horse. We are finding that cohesive, supportive groups can be formed through online instruction as well. People are able to achieve good results with the work learned through video, photo and curriculum materials, as well as online class time. All classes are recorded for your review.

“The horse dragged her leg before treatment. I saw her in a show yesterday and she was no longer dragging her leg! The one thing I did was work in the area of least resistance. That made the difference. I really love this work.” – AZ

Online classes and courses are also designed for students who are unable to take an onsite class or would prefer one, and/or would like a refresher course on a given topic.  People who live in remote locations will also enjoy the ability to learn this way.

Zoom classes will include one hour self-study plus 3 hours zoom time, and include video and photo submissions from students for review. Students are encouraged to bring questions and share experiences with the work. Formats include four-part 16 CE courses as well as 3-hour study group formats. An Equine Body Balance Certified Practitioner Program is available for those who want to embark on continued studies.

Online classes are self-paced, with 90 days to complete the class. The curriculum is populated with written instruction, videos, some charts, photos, quizzes and one hour email consultation with the instructor. Students are issued a completion certificate with successful completion of the course. It is highly recommended that students take an onsite class whenever possible, to strength contact, positioning, observation and timing skills.

“I find I am searching for a more effective modality for the reduction of muscular tension; and treating specific compensatory muscular issues. I’ve found the course I’ve just completed has given me those tools.” – WG
